The December 2025 housing market in Floyd County closed the year with a strong surge in activity compared to both last year and the prior month. Sales volume climbed to $37.9M, a 62.3% increase year-over-year, with 103 units sold, up 32.1% from December 2024. The median sales price rose to $298,000, reflecting a 16.2% year-over-year increase, signaling continued price strength as buyer demand accelerated late in the year.

 Inventory conditions showed early signs of tightening. New listings totaled 97, up 21.3% year-over-year, while active listings declined to 437 month-over-month, but remained 34.0% higher than December 2024. Compared to November 2025, sales volume jumped 53.0% and units sold increased 18.4%, while median sales price rose 16.9%. New listings fell 27.1% month-over-month, and active listings declined 6.2%, suggesting fewer sellers entered the market as demand strengthened heading into the new year.
