Thinking about our ACBR Members at this Time

A Letter from 2020 ACBR President Jeff Pollock

This is not business as usual.

In this time of uncertainty and concern we need to remember one very important thing -- we are all in this together.

We are a well connected community. So let’s come together and share what we are doing to get through some very challenging circumstances. We want to help support and sustain our members, and be ready to help in every way we can.

So we are in the early stages of evaluating the best path forward for our membership:
  • Let’s hear from you -- let us know how we can best help our members at this time by either sharing information and best practices with one another, or how to be a supportive influence to help balance these stressful times.
  • Let’s refocus, starting with the things that are truly the most important -- our families. Let’s be leaders in our own households while we are also dealing with our own apprehension and uncertainty.
  • Let’s keep on keeping on -- all of ACBR’s planned in-person meetings will be replaced by conference and Zoom calls for at least the next two weeks. Our staff will be in touch with all of us on a regular basis and can help direct our external messaging.
  • Let’s be united - in our words, and in our hearts. This is a time in which we will champion innovation and strengthen our mission and purpose.
Please know that we will be communicating consistently with our members and will be establishing new portals to enhance our virtual dialogues. If you need to reach out to me at any time please feel free to do so. My email is and my cell phone number is 404-964-7060. In the meantime, know that I am sending you all profound and sincere thoughts for comfort and grace.
