Committee Spotlight

The Community Service Committee

The Community Service Committee of the ACBR has always taken charge of the Annual Spring Fling event, and this year the committee exceeded projections, ultimately netting over $64,000.00 that will be divided between two incredible charities: Devereux Ga, and Wellspring Living. Led by Chairman, Pat Murphy and Vice Chair, Ryan Hoyt, this committee organized a lively evening held at the City Winery at Ponce City Market, May 10th. The event was a great way to network with peers, meet more sponsors, bid on terrific gift baskets and enjoy great food and drinks -- but most importantly, it’s a way to unite and give back to our community and give well-needed funds for two such deserving charities.

Devereux Ga., is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide critical direct care services to children, adolescents and young adults struggling with emotional and behavioral health challenges. Wellspring Living is a non-profit organization that serves survivors of childhood sexual abuse and exploitation and is devoted to safeguarding and empowering domestic sex trafficking victims.

The Community Service Committee is one of the ACBR’s largest -- and this year, these excellent resources, leadership qualities and volunteer spirit will continue throughout the entire year. As a way to create more opportunities for ACBR members to network all year long, this Committee is introducing several new ways to volunteer time and efforts towards our philanthropic partners. Please look for emails that will describe new events to be involved with soon. And reach out to either Pat Murphy (404-875-1000), or Ryan Hoyt (404-760-7208) with any questions or ideas.
