An accomplished economic development professional, Ms. Robbins has worked with more than 150 companies that have established a presence in Georgia, collectively investing more than $7 billion and employing more than 34,000 Georgians. She has been a member of the economic development teams that have attracted iconic corporate headquarters, data centers, IT centers and advanced manufacturing operations to Georgia.
As a Senior Project Manager in Georgia Power's Community & Economic Development organization, Ms. Robbins is responsible for facilitating the relocation, expansion or start-up of businesses wishing to grow in Georgia. Brenda assists companies in identifying, touring and evaluating best fit communities, sites or buildings throughout the state. She also provides market and workforce information and engineering assistance, and she serves as a liaison between the businesses and governmental agencies involved in the site selection process.
Prior to joining the Economic Development team, Brenda served in a variety of roles including business consulting, systems development, staffing, organizational development and marketing.
Brenda was named among the Top 50 Economic Developers in the nation by Consultant Connect in 2015 and 2016. She serves on the board of directors of the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® (ACBR) and was named the organization's 2014 Affiliate of the Year. Brenda also serves on the board of the Meet At Inc. real estate business development forum.
In addition, she is a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association. Brenda graduated from Auburn University with a business administration degree in marketing. She completed her Masters in Business Administration at Georgia State University. Brenda volunteers with numerous pet rescue agencies including Priceless Pets for which she serves as a "foster mom."
