Keynote Speaker, Steve Selig, Inspired and Delighted Attendees at the YCR Leadership Luncheon

Held Wednesday, August 13th

Over 200 people attended the Young Council of REALTORS® Annual Leadership Luncheon held at 103 West on Wednesday, August 13th. The Young Council was honored to have Steve Selig, President of Selig Enterprises, Inc., as the Keynote Speaker. Mr. Selig gave a very sincere, heartwarming, humorous and educational speech on how life shaped him into the leader he is today. He shared his life experiences and the guiding principals that keep him centered and grounded throughout his life. Mr. Selig was truly inspirational and the YCR was honored to have a local industry leader who has achieved such tremendous personal and professional success provide his insight and guidance to our membership. The YCR will also support Mr. Selig's passion for the community by sharing the proceeds of this event with one of Mr. Selig's favorite charities, Camp Twin Lakes.

Volunteer Opportunities - USO Georgia

The Community Service Committee would like for you to join them for a rewarding volunteer opportunity at the USO of Georgia located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. We need volunteers to assist with serving lunch and greeting the U.S. soldiers coming through to await the next plane to report for duty or coming home for a little R&r.

If you would like to volunteer, contact Amy Geddes to place your name on the list. Volunteers should at least try to commit their time from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Further details of the day will be sent to all committed volunteers.

Quadrennial Code of Ethics Training

Must be completed by December 31, 2008

Between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® who have joined the association after January 1, 2005 and attended Orientation, have already fulfilled their training requirements. All other members must complete their training by December 31, 2008 to continue their membership with the Board of REALTORS®.

Failure to complete the required periodic ethics training shall be considered a violation of a membership duty; for which, REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until such time as the required training has been completed.
