Community Service
This committee plans and participates in various community projects within the Metro Atlanta area. Additionally, it will plan and promote the annual Spring Fundraiser.
Education
This committee plans, organizes and promotes the Board’s monthly educational programs. All monthly seminars take place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, with the exception of October.
Forms
This committee reviews, revises and creates forms for use by Commercial REALTORS®. MUST have been a REALTOR® for a minimum of (5) years in order to serve.
Governmental Affairs & RPAC
This committee reviews legislation and recommends political action to protect the interests of REALTORS®, our industry, and our clients. It shapes the formulation of local laws and regulations through professional lobbying, grassroots advocacy, and supporting the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates for public office. This committee raises funds and recommends disbursements for the Atlanta REALTORS® Political Action Committee. Additionally, this committee works to create awareness promote Smart Growth in Atlanta within the Board membership and through business coalition partners.
Grievance
This committee reviews and investigates complaints against members as well as arbitration requests filed with the Board. When appropriate, it refers them to the Professional Standards committee for a hearing. MUST have been a REALTOR® for a minimum of (5) years in order to serve.
Million Dollar Club (MDC)
This committee reviews the rules and examines all applications for the MDC to qualify applicants for approval by the Board of Directors. MUST have been a REALTOR® for a minimum of (5) years AND be a past MDC member in order to serve.
Networking
This committee plans and promotes the annual Networking Event, October BrokerFest.
Professional Standards
This committee encourages strict adherence to the REALTORS® Code of Ethics by all members. It conducts hearings on alleged violations of the Code of Ethics, commission disputes, and other matters referred by the Grievance Committee and/or the Board of Directors. MUST have been a REALTOR® for a minimum of (5) years in order to serve.
Note: For the Education, Forms, Grievance, Million Dollar Club, and Professional Standards committees, members will be appointed by the respective chairman and board leadership and selection does not guarantee your appointment.
